Armenia-India Defense Consultations were held

On October 23, in Hyderabad, India, Armenia and India held Defense Consultations within the framework of the Joint Working Group established last year to discuss matters of bilateral defense cooperation.

The consultations were chaired by Levon Ayvazyan, Head of the Defense Policy and International Cooperation Department of the RA Ministry of Defense, and Vishwesh Negi, Joint Secretary for International Cooperation of the Indian Ministry of Defence. The discussions were also attended by H.E. Vahagn Afyan, the Ambassador of Armenia to India.

During the meeting, the parties expressed their satisfaction with the progress of the implementation of the 2025 cooperation program and emphasized the need to include a number of new areas in the next year's program.

Opinions were exchanged on regional and international security issues. The parties informed each other about the latest developments in the armed forces of the two countries.

At the end of the event, the 2026 Cooperation Program between the RA Ministry of Defense and the Indian Ministry of Defense was signed, which includes a number of events in high-level and expert mutual visits, military education, military-technical, combat training and exercises, exchange of experience, and a number of other areas.

An agreement was reached to hold the next session in the Republic of Armenia.
